prints
I plan to offer giclée prints of my work very soon. Each print will be part of a limited edition and will be signed and numbered.
Because I'm using the giclée process to reproduce my artwork, I'll be able to offer prints on demand (have them printed one by one).
This helps to reduce the price of the print.
Prints will be created by a professional, fine art digital printing service that has been in the business for almost 20 years.
If you're interested in purchasing a print, please let me know and I will email you when the prints become available.
what does giclée refer to?
giclée is a popular method of fine art printing that was first introduced in the
early 1990s. An original painting is scanned and then printed on a specialized inkjet printer. Archival papers and inks are used to
ensure that the print will last a long time (~100 years assuming normal lighting conditions).
The same type of paper used for the original painting is used for the print, so it's sometimes difficult to tell a giclée print from the original.
Giclée is pronounced 'Jee-clay'.
